California introduces bill to mandate COVID-19 vaccine for employees

In California, a bill has been introduced in the state that needed all businesses to make the COVID-19  vaccination compulsory for all employees.

Moreover, the California State Representative named Buffy Wicks of Oakland, Cecilla Aguiar-Curry of Winters, Evan Low of Cupertino as well as Akila Weber of San Diego presented the Assembly Bill 1993 in the previous week.

The bill involves all the individuals that are the employees of all the large-scale and the other organisations to be fully vaccinated, and they have to share the proof that the person has received all of the shots of vaccines. On the other hand, it will include the evidence that the person is vaccinated or not, and if they have not, they have to mention the reason if it is religious or medical.

Aguiar-Curry mentioned, “I belong from a really small town where we took care of our neighbours, and this is one of those things where I feel like we are taking care of them.”

Along with this, the bill does not mention any testing requirements for the workers with medical exceptions and religion.

Additionally, the businesses that do not obey the rules and regulations then have to pay the fine, and it has not been declared that of how much money that penalty would be off.

The majority of the employees, including the state workers, health care workers and police officers, have already received the vaccination shots and have been fulfilled all of the requirements related to the testing of COVID. Meanwhile, this bill goes further that involves applying the vaccination shot for all of the public as well as the private sector employees.
Currently, all of the small business Majority and advocacy organisations are showing their support to the bill.

The CEO and the Small Business Majority Founder mentioned, “The Coronavirus variants resumes to disrupt the business operations and create financial uncertainty for all small businesses in California and all over the nation.”

Furthermore, the other local business owners are not favouring the bill. The owner of the house of Oliver in Roseville, named Matthew Oliver, thinks that this bill will create many disruptions while dealing with the individuals and other issues.
