New Jersey reports 2,427 new COVID-19 cases with 115 deaths

On 2nd January 2022, Tuesday, 115 confirmed casualties due to the COVID-19 were noticed, while a total of 2,427 people have been exposed to deadly viral infection caused by SARS-CoV-2 over the past 24 hours in New Jersey.

The confirmed cases of the infected individuals are showing a downward trend prior to the variant of the COVID called Omicron in the middle of December.

Moreover, the seven-day cases of the state have decreased to 4,742, and the rate of the confirmed cases stood at 41 percent from a week before, and there was 76 percent in the previous month.

Its been the first time since the pandemic has started, the cases of the COVID-19 is falling down, and people are less likely to get infected.

On 10th January, the average number of cases that have been noticed was around 27,914. On the other hand, on 7th January there were the most highest cases as it was recorded as 33,459.

Additionally, approximately 2,919 of the people are admitted to the hospital in around 71 hospitals in New Jersey with the confirmed cases. On 11th January, there was a decrease in the rate of hospitalization as the percentage was about 46 percent from the cases of 6,089.

According to the officials, it is still a question that the vaccination and booster shots will help people not catch the infection as the already affected people will recover more quickly. If the individual has received the booster shots, they are less likely to spread the disease and not get hospitalized or die.
