US: Mother gives birth to baby in-flight heading to Washington DC

In the United States, a baby was born on an 11 hour long United Airlines flight heading towards Washington, D.C. As per the information provided by United Airlines, the flight was going from Accra, Ghana, to Dulles International Airport, where the baby was welcomed outside Washington, D.C.

On Saturday, the flight was departed, and the flight duration was 11 hours long. Moreover, on Sunday, the flight arrived at the airport at 5:41 a.m., where a passenger gave birth to the child. There was a crew member who was a nurse before a flight attendant helped the lady with the delivery.

According to the sources, after the women gave birth to the baby in the flight, the flight members helped the medical experts to make sure that all the individuals on the flight were safe.

In a statement, United Airlines mentioned, ” We were delighted to see the plane land with one more loverly customer in onboard.”

However, after the flight was landed, the mother with the baby was welcomed with the blue United balloons with a card asserted, “On behalf of the whole team of the United team at Washington Dulles, Congratulations to you for your beautiful baby!”

Meanwhile, it was not the first time a baby was delivered during the long flight.

On 1st October 2021, on a Turkish Airlines flight from Istanbul to Chicago, a baby was born on board, and there was a doctor on the flight who helped the lady with the baby.

As per United Airlines, the baby and her mother are healthy and doing great.
