Arizona man arrested for felony animal cruelty; accused of freezing animals alive

In Arizona, United States, the Mohave County Sheriff’s Office mentioned a man that has been apprehended on about 100 counts of felony animal cruelty after he was accused of freezing animals alive.

As per the officials, the police officers were called to a Golden Valley residence at the beginning of this month when someone shared the information about the multiple dead animals who had been discovered in a freezer, including some that may have belonged to the individuals who have reported them.

When the deputies, as well as the animal control officers, reached the home, they discovered 183 dead animals, including dogs, turtles, lizards, birds, snakes, mice, rats, as well as rabbits.

Moreover, Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO) says that several of the animals appeared to have been frozen alive.

The officers were not about to make contact with the suspect, the 43-year-old Michael Patrick Turland, or his wife until Wednesday, April 13.

Afterwards, Turland was taken into custody as well as admitted to freezing some of the animals while they were still alive.

According to the officials, Turland made a deal with the woman who had been reported about the animals that were dead that he would take her snakes, breed them and later return them.

Along with this, the woman who shared the details about the incident said that she was unable to make contact with him to get her snakes back.

Furthermore, MCSO is still trying to make the contact with his wife, who is said to be named Brooklyn Beck.
