California teen went missing, found safe in Utah

A teenager in California went missing, and he was discovered safe in Utah. For over two years, he was reported that he was missing.

The Summit County Sheriff’s office has identified the missing teen as the 19-year-old named Connerjack Oswalt. He was reported to have disappeared in the month of September 2019 to the Clearlake Police Department in Northern California.

At the time when Oswalt was 16 years old. He was diagnosed with autism in 2014. His family had been searching for him since he went missing. They are looking for him on Social Media and desperately chasing down the leads. They even moved back to the town of his birth, Idaho Falls, hoping he would eventually make it back there.

Moreover, in recent Park City, Utah, the residents spotted an individual pushing a shopping cart around town. Local deputies had encountered Oswalt several times, but they mentioned he was never aggressive toward law enforcement, nor did he commit any the crime.

In the last week, the deputies were dispatched to reports of Oswalt sleeping outside a store in Summit count. The authorities discovered him cold as well as shivering at the time. He appeared to have lived on the street there for about two weeks.

Along with this, Oswalt reportedly did not share his name with the officers his name, so a finger scan was administered to identify him. The scan produced results of a warrant out of Nevada. The authorities say they were suspicious that there was more to the story, so they continued investigating.

Furthermore, Sheriff Justin Martinez mentioned in the statement, “We didn’t treat him as a criminal. We were treated as somebody with something deeper that we needed to dig into. That intuition is what reunited this family.”
