In New Jersey, USA, the state authorities have made the announcement on Thursday that the sales of weed with a start on April 21,
The state’s Cannabis Regulatory Commission has mentioned in the statement that it is going to issue the licenses to seven medical marijuana dispensaries, which are officially known as alternative treatment centres, and also to sell recreational marijuana starting on April 21.
Moreover, the seven treatment centres are now clear to sell the adult-use cannabis at 13 locations all over the state. It is not up to each of them to decide when they will open.
The company representatives of six alternative treatment centres, including Ascend, Curaleaf, GTI, Acreage, Verano as well as TerrAscend, shared the information they wanted to open at least some of these facilities on the month of April 21.
Along with this, those alternative centres that have been approved to sell recreational cannabis at their medical marijuana sites in Bellmawr, Edgewater Park, Bloomfield, Paterson, and Phillipsburg, as well as Maplewood, Rochelle Park, Elizabeth, Lawrence, Williamstown and Egg Harbor.
A representative for Verano stated in the late Thursday that the company is planning to start recreational cannabis sales at its sites in Elizabeth as well as Lawrence on April 21.
Meanwhile, Acreage emphasized that it is aiming to kick off the sales at the Botanist Williamstown as well as The Botanist Egg Harbor that day.
Ascend said it wants to start the sales at its Rochelle Park facility.
The Green Thumb, which uses the RISE banner, has confirmed that the RISE Bloomfield and RISE Paterson will open next Thursday at about 6 a.m.
Under the CRC guidelines, the registered patients may purchase up to 3.0 ounces of the medicinal cannabis/cannabis product from an alternative treatment centre every 30 days, through dosage directed by the authorizing health care provider.
