Texas man arrested for beating roommate over argument on mosquitoes

A man in Texas has been detained as he has been charged with the assault of beating his roommate with a stick of wooden after a predawn fight on Sunday as they both were included in an argument about mosquitoes, according to the authorities.

The 43-year-old named Victor Symone Shavers has attacked his roommate as well as left him covered with blood, and required stitches, say the Dallas police, in an arrest warrant affidavit.

Moreover, the police officials responded to a residence at around 2:42 a.m. on Sunday and discovered the roommate of Shavers outside with a face that was all covered with blood.

The roommate shared the information with the police officials that Shavers assaulted him shortly after they had argued about “what a mosquito looks like”, as per the affidavit.

Along with this, the argument that both of them had related to what a mosquito looks like turned into violence (a physical fight) when Shaver’s mentioned to this roommate that he, in fact, did not know what the insect looked like while the roommate had the argument.

Shavers then “grabbed a stick behind his bed” and then started hitting his roommate “in the head with the stick at least six times.”

Afterwards, the roommate managed to grab a metal bat from his closet and hit Shavers while he was defending himself, says the officials.

The roommate has been injured and suffered a deep cut on his left cheek as well as a deep cut on the left side of his head. On the other hand, Shavers had a cut on the back of his head as well as a swollen right hand that was possibly broken.

Furthermore, Shavers was listed as an inmate at the Dallas County Jail on Thursday in the afternoon. He has been detained with the charges of aggravated assault that has caused severe bodily injury as well as assault causing severe bodily injury, according to jail records.
