United States: A man in California stated that he beat his co-worker to death because he believed that the colleague was having an affair with his wife, as per the reports.
The 49-year-old Jose Guitierrez-Rosales allegedly beat Hector Javier Castaneda Vasquez, 56-year-old, with an irritation pipe while the two were working on April 18, according to information about the killing that was revealed this week.
He stated to Kern County Sheriff’s investigators, “We were there picking up the pipes. I ate about two tacos, and I felt my body like strange, and then all of a sudden, I grabbed the pipe and just started going at him.”
Gutierrez-Rosales reportedly stated that he told Vasquez as he kept hitting him, “This is for getting involved with my family.”
Along with this, the victim was pronounced dead at the scene. He suffered facial fractures and cut to his face and back of his head. Vasquez’s several teeth were also knocked out, as per the sources.
But it is still not clear if he was married, as per the court documents. It has been recorded that an unidentified woman told the authorities she and the Gutierrez-Rosales were in a three-month relationship but stopped seeing each other before the killing. She stated that he had anger issues.
The witnesses and co-workers pointed to Gutierrez-Rosales as the killer, and he was apprehended on April 28 as well as has been charged with first-degree murder, as per the sources.
After the death of Vasquez’s death, Gutierrez escaped in his car but eventually abandoned the vehicle and began walking to Bakersfield, according to the court document.
Additionally, as per the sources, he asked God for forgiveness and started cutting himself with a box cutter.
He mentioned to the investigators if he wanted to run, he would have escaped to Mexico.
Furthermore, he reportedly mentioned, “I’m going to own up to it like a man.”
