Customer shot Texas lounge security guard after hatred argument

United States: A man from Texas shot and killed a security guard on Friday evening during an argument at a lounge in the Dallas suburb of DeSoto, as per the police officials.

The 48-year-old Toussel Kuhn allegedly shot the security guard multiple times around 10 p.m. before being injured by a bystander and fleeing the scene. He was later apprehended after the crash took place with his car in Glenn Heights, which is just south of DeSoto.

Moreover, the police officers responded to the Brickhouse Lounge where the shooting occurred and found 47-year-old Derek Philips, the security guard, with a gunshot injury. He was taken to a nearby hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

Brickhouse Lounge shared the information that the incident began when Kuhn started trying to smoke cigarettes inside.

Along with this, DeSoto City Councilwoman Crystal Chism mentioned in the statement that she was saddened by the incident and referenced another recent fatal shooting at a youth football game in nearby Lancaster, which allegedly involved Yaqub Salik Tabil, who is the brother of former NFL star Aqib Talib.

Chism mentioned on Facebook on Saturday, he noted, “No one should fear for their life at youth football event nor a lounge where you should be able to let your hair down and chill.”

Brickhouse Lounge did not immediately respond to the request for comment on Sunday but posted on its website that it would be closed on Saturday as well as Sunday.

The Suspect, Kuhn, was being treated for injuries at a local health care centre on Saturday.
