Hawaii: Five ravages hospital, kills patient and injures paramedics

United States: When their ambulance caught fire outside a hospital in Hawaii, a patient died, and a paramedic was seriously hurt, according to emergency personnel.

The emergency services director, Dr Jim Ireland, mentioned in the statement, “We had an ambulance tonight for reasons we don’t understand catch on fire, possibly explode, prior to entering the hospital. We are all just very concerned about our team as well as the patient that lost their life.”

On Wednesday evening, the ambulance arrived at Adventist Castle Health in Kailua with the 91-year-old patient and the paramedic inside. The ambulance’s other driver, an emergency medical technician, was unharmed. According to a city and county news release, the eight-year veteran paramedic in the back received initial care at the hospital before being transported to the Straub Burn Unit’s emergency department.

Along with this, Ireland asserted, “All our paramedics, EMTs and dispatchers are all treasured members of our staff and or family, they save lives every day, and it’s just very hard to be in a situation where our team is the ones who are injured. I’ll just leave it at that. Please pray for him.”

Furthermore, the Honolulu Fire Department is working on the case.
