New Jersey: Man suspects of killing ex-girlfriend’s puppy, sentences to three years in jail

United States: A man in New Jersey was sentenced to three years in Prison after the prosecutors mentioned that he admitted to killing the puppy of his ex-girlfriend because of rage.

The 39-year-old, Gary Moore, entered a guilty plea to third-degree animal cruelty for the July killing of the Yorkshire Terrier puppy.

The prosecutors shared the information that Moore, who is a Camden resident, admitted to intentionally killing the dog when he was angry with his ex-girlfriend.

Additionally, Moore was ordered to pay restitution to the Atlantic County Prosecutor’s Office for the prison sentence. He is also needed to complete community service.

The prosecutor’s office advised the residents to report instances of animal abuse or neglect to their local police department.

Along with this, the violent crime rate decreased to near 6 percent since the previous year in New Jersey. Reporting 2.0 incidents per 1,000 people. The state also saw fewer property crimes, with the property crime rate falling 13 percent from 13.3 per 1,000 to 11.6.

There are about 30 cities with the highest crime rate in New Jersey that are:
Bridgeton.
Irvington.
Newark.
Orange.
Trenton.
Asbury Park.
Camden County.

On the other hand, Delaware, United States, has the highest number of crime rate in the country, at over 113 reported offences per 100,000 people.
