Germany: A soldier deployed to Germany out of Fort Stewart, Georgia, was found dead in her own room Wiesbaden, Germany. According to the sources, she was a wife and mother of three children.
This incident took place last week. As per the U.S. Army Europe and Africa, Pfc Denisha Montgomery, 27-year-old, was found unresponsive in her room and was pronounced dead on August 9.
The 27-year-old was assigned to the 139th Military Police Company and was deployed to Germany from Fort Stewart, Georgia. She was scheduled to come back with her unit at the end of September month.
Along with this, the statement from United State Army Europe and Africa mentioned the statement that the U.S. Army Criminal Investigation Division is working on her death.
The U.S Army Europe and Africa mentioned in the statement, “We are saddened by the loss of Montgomery. Our beliefs and thoughts are with her family and loved ones during this difficult time. The incident is currently under investigation by the United States Army Criminal Investigation Division. A complete, as well as a thorough investigation, will be conducted.”
As per to the GoFundMe set up by her family, the United States Army rules her death a suicide, but the family believes otherwise.
The family stated on the GoFundMe post that they plan to have a full investigation of her death “beyond the inquiry by the CID.”
Furthermore, the money raised will go towards paying for the investigation. So far, the family has raised $1,885 of their $15,000 goal.
