New Jersey: Deadly shooting by an Englewood police officer

United States: On Saturday morning, a domestic altercation on West Englewood Avenue, New Jersey resulted in a deadly shooting by an Englewood police officer, according to the office of the New Jersey Attorney General.

At 8:29 in the morning, police responded to a 911 call reporting a stabbing there. Police shot one individual after they entered the house, and at 9:17 a.m., Englewood Hospital declared them dead.

Officers from many agencies arrived, including Bergenfield, Leonia, and the Palisades Interstate Parkway. They taped off the block from Orange Street to the traffic signal at the intersection of Lafayette Place.

After conducting an errand, Jennifer Henry, a resident of Green Street for 15 years, returned home and noticed the flashing lights. She emphasised that “the neighbourhood has altered.” “To see this again, you know, it makes you wonder,” the speaker said. “It has been a lot—it has been different.”

Two-tenths of a mile from this weekend’s event, on Lafayette Place, a 43-year-old man was accused in February 2019 of stabbing his parents to death.

After a protracted chase, Pawel Boduch, a Polish immigrant, was found in a grocery store parking lot.

Along with this, according to the county prosecutor, a 30-year-old man was shot near the intersection of Humphrey Street as well as West Linden Avenue, on Friday evening, also within a mile of the incident on Saturday.

He is expected to recover soon. Henry asserted she is concerned about escalating violence in the neighbourhood.

Furthermore, Henry mentioned in the statement, “It is sad, the way that it’s turning out. I have seen yellow tape like that more than enough.”
