California shocks with five fatal shootings, serial killings aspected

United States: A person of interest is being sought by police in Stockton, California, in connection with a string of violent shootings that occurred after dark.

Police claimed that additional people might be involved in the five attacks that have occurred since July, adding that an unnamed individual seen on shaky surveillance footage may be a suspect or a witness.

At a news conference on Friday, Stockton Police Chief Stanley McFadden stated, “We have a series of killings that we believe are related.” By definition, this might very well be considered a serial killing.

He said that hate crimes, gang violence, and crimes against homeless people have all been ruled out by the police. According to McFadden, one of the five victims is Caucasian, while the other four are Latino and not all were homeless.

According to the chief, detectives have not been able to identify whether there is only one gunman or perhaps more.

He said that all of the murders had taken place after dark, in places with few surveillance cameras. In each incident, there was just one victim.

He declared, “It wasn’t a robbery.”

“Nothing is being stolen. They are not discussing any local gang activity at all. Just a little bit of surprise.”

Police said the attacks, which started in July and have just occurred this week, go as follows:

A 35-year-old unnamed male who was only described as white was shot and killed on July 8. A 12:31 a.m. report of it was made.

On August 11, at 9:49 p.m., an anonymous 43-year-old guy who was described as “Hispanic” was slain.

An unknown 21-year-old man who was described as “Hispanic” was shot and killed at 6:41 in the morning on August 30.

An anonymous 52-year-old male who was described as “Hispanic” was slain on September 21 at 4:27 a.m.

An unknown 54-year-old guy who was described as “Hispanic” was shot and killed on Tuesday at 1:50 a.m.

In addition to the $10,000 prize offered by Stockton Crime Stoppers, the city offers a $75,000 reward for details that results in an arrest.
