Florida: 2 men charged for murdering 2 children during road rage incident

United States: About two men have been charged with attempted murder in Florida after two children were wounded in a road rage shooting, Nassau County Sheriff Bil Leeper mentioned during a news conference.

After 6 p.m on Saturday, a Dodge Ram, as well as a Nissan Murano, was driving Northbound on the United States from the Jacksonville area in what one witness described as a cat as well as mouse game, as per Leeper.

Moreover, Leeper mentioned both vehicles were driving erratically, citing the witness’ account. Both vehicles were speeding as well as brake-checking each other, he added in the statement.

According to the authorities’ investigation, the driver of the Ram, who has been identified as William Hale, pulled beside the Murano as well as began shouting at the man who was driving through the passenger window.

A passenger in the Murano then flipped off Hale, says Leeper.

In addition, the Murano driver, identified by the authorities as Frank Allison, rolled down his window to shout at Hale when someone from the Ram threw a plastic water bottle into the Murano.

According to Leeper, Allison then fired a shot at the Ram with a .45 caliber handgun as well as drove away.

Also, Mr Allison mentioned in the statement that his goal of firing was to get out of the whole situation, arrest affidavits for both men say. Allison shared with the police that he thought he shot “the rear tire or truck bed area of the truck,” as per the documents.

Hale shared the information with the officers as he was shouting. He could hear the other driver shouting as well as then listening to a pow at his back door, as per the information.

The affidavit highlighted, “Mr Hale said ‘after he shot, my daughter is screaming, it was an instant reaction.”

Furthermore, the 5-year-old daughter of Hale was hit in the leg, Leeper said.
