Anne Arundel County Police Department congratulates corporal Dennis Scheman

United States: Anne Arundel County Police Department congratulated Cpl. Dennis Scheman, on his retirement after 25 years of outstanding service and dedication to the Anne Arundel County Police Department and the citizens of Anne Arundel County.

They highlighted in their official statement that they expresses best wishes for him as well as all of the best wishes in his future endeavours.

The Anne Arundel County Police Department extends its deepest sympathies on the passing of Prince George’s County Sheriff Melvin C. High. Sheriff High served the state of Maryland, the state of Virginia, the District of Columbia, and his country with honour, dignity and respect for more than 60 years.

Sheriff High was a lifelong public servant, serving as a high school science teacher; a United States Marine serving in Vietnam; adjunct professor at the University of the District of Columbia; Assistant Chief of Police for the Metropolitan Police Department.

Along with this, the Chief of Police for the City of Norfolk Police Department; as well as Chief of Police for the Prince George’s County Police Department before serving as a three-term Sheriff for the Prince George’s County Office of the Sheriff.

Sheriff High leaves an incredible legacy as a mentor, a leader and a friend to countless people.
