BP busts 232 lbs deadly fentanyl in Southern California

Southern California: The Los Angles based national correspondent, Bill Melugin, shared an update about a busting of an enormous and deadly fentanyl being seized by border patrols(BP) in Southern California (SoCal) of about 232lbs held on Thursday, 28 February 2023.

As per the update, he mentioned that there were enough lethal doses to kill 50 million people. He also added in the update about the busting that border patrol sources informed him that the bust occurred during a traffic stop on a highway in San Clemente in Orange County, 75 miles inland from the border.

He also stated that this incident highlights that Fentanyl has now made its place in the US. He also discussed how the Fentanyl enters the US via a missed vehicle at a California Border Portal port of entry or by being backpacked into the US by drug mules and smuggled further by car.

According to the sources, Fentanyl is a synthetic opioid 50-100 times stronger than morphine. It was developed for the pain management treatment of cancer patients. It is applied in a patch on the skin because of its powerful opioid properties, it is added to heroin to increase its potency, or it can be disguised as highly potent heroin. Many other users believe that they are purchasing heroin and don’t know that they are buying Fentanyl – which often results in overdose deaths.

While appreciating the national correspondent, one of the Californian social media users took to the comment section and commented, “You’re doing an awesome job of reporting Bill. Let those who can stop this fiasco will make the needed changes to keep our border secure.” While another thanked Bill and stated, “Thank you, Bill, for your great reporting. Thank BP for all of us. We support all they do.” The third one commented, “Bill, please thank BP for their great work. And Thank you, awesome work.”
