Minister of Tourism in Dominica, Denise Charles, welcomed Intercontinental Hotels Group (IHG) to the island. All operations that were running under Cabrits Resort and Spa Kempinski will now be taken over by the Intercontinental Hotels Group. When this hotel reopens in the spring season of 2023, it will be the third hotel of this brand.

Denise Charles, Minister of Tourism in Dominica, expressed that the government of Dominica finds it a new opportunity for the island by welcoming the newly branded InterContinental Dominica Cabrits Resort & Spa as it will be providing a new luxurious and extraordinary experience to all the tourists those will be travelling to the island for witnessing the magnificent waterfalls and lush green valleys.

While further telling about this opportunity, Denise Charles said, “This rebranding presents an opportunity for a fresh start, a different approach to the management and operations of the resort. We are confident this will result in an increased stay over visitor arrivals to Dominica and greater exposure for our island, especially in the North American source market.”

She added that the brand Intercontinental Hotels Group is constructing its two new resorts in Grenada. Hence they have been familiar with the Caribbean people and their culture.

This new brand is reported to be a highly respected group and among the leading hotel chains.
