The Police department of Fresno shared an update report on their official Facebook account, which stated that Jose M. Gonzalez, 49, was taken into custody on Friday, February 24, 2023, by detectives from the Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force for child pornography. Detectives from the Fresno Police Department, Homeland Security, and the Fresno County Sheriff’s Department make up the ICAC Task Force. Detectives from the ICAC and the Fresno Police Department arrested Gonzalez at his Orange Cove residence.
The municipal police department for Fresno, California, is the Fresno Police Department (FPD). 2323 Mariposa Mall is where their main office is. Since January 11, 2021, Paco Balderama has served as the Fresno Police Department’s Chief of Police.
Gonzalez has been working as a clerk in the Records Section at the Fresno Police Department since 2016, within minutes of the arrest. With the support and approval of the Fresno City Manager, Chief Balderrama fired Gonzalez from his position with the City of Fresno. The Fresno County Jail has arrested Gonzalez.

They take this responsibility very seriously and investigate each and every allegation of misconduct in great detail. Their law enforcement partners with ICAC conducted an investigation due to Mr Gonzalez’s serious allegations, and the initial criminal findings support their decision to fire him from the City of Fresno.
