Grenada: The Tourism Authority of Grenada announced that the tri-island state of Grenada, Carriacou and Petite Martinique secured ten awards in 6 categories of USA Today’s 10 Best Reader’s Choice Awards 2022. The categories in which the tri-island state won included Best Caribbean Beach, Beach Bar, Attraction, Resort, Restaurant and Rum Distillery.
Paradise Beach in Carriacou – Grenada’s sister island, won in the category of Best Caribbean Beach and secured the first position in the Caribbean.
USA Today is multi-platform news as well as an information media company with a joint reach of 7 million readers day-to-day and a leader in mobile applications with over 21 million downloads on mobile devices. The winners in various categories are rewarded with a badge of recognition as the 10 Best Readers’ Choice.
Following the development, the CEO of Grenada Tourism Authority, Petra Roach, stated that this is a truly outstanding award for the tourism product, and he thanked the USA Today editorial team for the nominations and all those who reached out to vote and said that “We couldn’t have done it without you”.
He said that the country is dedicated to continuing to spread the word related to the tri-island state to let people know that Carriacou truly is the ‘Cradle of Culture’. The country celebrated the international award for Paradise Beach and all the other attributes that Carriacou brings to the table, such as Shakespeare Mas, Boatbuilding and sustainable eco-tourism which implants conservation and responsibility practices in everything that the country do.
