Bahamas: Rhanishka Gibbs achieved a new 50-meter breaststroke personal best, national record, Bahamian 15–17 record, and junior best of 32.29. Rhanishka Gibbs, a Bahamian, had a breakthrough year in 2022.

Lifespan 007 Open Water Swim announced on Facebook that she won Bronze in the 15–17 age group at CARIFTA in Trinidad and Tobago in 33.21, a personal best. At the 2022 Commonwealth Games, she earned her first national senior cap when she almost missed the semifinals with a swim of 33.28.

At the World Junior Championships, she competed against the top young athletes in the world. In that race, she finished in the semifinals with the best Bahamian performance for a female time of 33.46, good for 14th place overall.

Lifespan announced that she displayed her hand after the year when she swam 32.89, the honour of becoming the youngest swimmer from the CARIFTA and CCCAN areas to complete the 50-meter breaststroke in the fastest time at the 2023 CARIFTA swimming championships in Curaçao.

She recorded a 32.29 second time while competing in the heats. As a result, Lilly Higgs, a notable CARIFTA athlete, had a lower 2017 CR 32.70.

Additionally, it surpassed Alia Atkinson, a Jamaican Olympian, who ran a 32.59 in the 2006 Commonwealth Games semifinals, breaking the previous, long-standing CARIFTA junior record. The Bahamian 15-17 record of 32.52, which Higgs also held, and the best CARIFTA junior time were also bettered by her.

To win a record Silver medal at the 2017 Commonwealth Youth Games, She beat the record of 32.37 set by emerging Panamanian star Emily Santos during the TYR Pro Swim Series in Fort Lauderdale, securing the top slot for both the CARIFTA and CCCAN regions.

Lily win the gold in the final with a timing of 32.88. Lila Higgo of the Cayman Islands won the silver medal in a CIASA record of 32.98 seconds, and Saint Lucian Naima Hazell won the bronze medal in 33.44.

Gibbs will attend Texas Christian University in September with his fellow countryman Nigel Forbes. Jadon Wuilliez, a star in the breaststroke for Antigua and Barbuda, will join them there.
