Dominica Combined Schools U17 Cricket Team defeated Saint Lucia Sports Academy in the opening encounter. The match was played yesterday at Benjamin’s Park, a sporting venue in Portsmouth, Dominica.

Dominica 17 & Under Combined Schools‘ outstanding bowling prevented SLSA from accumulating a significant score. With just 19 and 17 runs respectively, Neige Eugene and Jerlani Joseph were the top scorers for SLSA.
The SLSA’s top order was eliminated by bowlers from Dominica Combined School, Kishawn Viville, who claimed four wickets while only giving twenty runs in their spell. Additionally, Edmund Morancie struck out two players while giving just nine runs throughout his spell.
After twenty overs and nine wickets lost, Saint Lucia Sports Academy scored 91 runs for the first-inning total. Dominica 17 only required 92 runs in 120 balls to win this game.
It was a comfortable win for Dominica under 17 Combined Schools, who scored the required target of 92 in just 10.2 overs by losing three wickets.
Darin Toussaint scored forty runs and remained not out for the entire innings along with his partner Edmund Morancie who contributed with nineteen runs to ensure victory for his team.
While bowling, SLSA’s bowlers Jerlani Joseph took two wickets by giving thirty-five runs, and Sheldon Willie took one dismissal by giving twenty-six runs. In the end, Dominica 17 & Under Combined Schools Won By 7 Wickets.
