St. Maarten observes arrival of 20,000 tourists in five cruise ships

On Tuesday, April 11, 2023, an arrival of around 20,000 visitors was observed on five different cruise ships to St. Maarten. The MSC Seaside, the Harmony of the Seas, the Carnival Magic, the Harmony of the Seas, and the Norwegian Epic are anchored in the Port of Philipsburg and offer cruises to various Caribbean destinations.

The MSC Seaside is providing a seven-night trip in the Southern Caribbean as it finishes a season there. The cruise departs from Martinique on April 8 and includes stops in Guadeloupe, Antigua, Barbados, and Dominica.

After completing the roundtrip route, the MSC Cruises ship will relocate to Port Canaveral for the upcoming summer.

Meanwhile, The Harmony of the Seas is providing a seven-night Eastern Caribbean cruise beginning from Miami. The trip departed South Florida on April 8 and will also stop in at Perfect Day at CocoCay and St. Thomas.

The Carnival Magic, another Florida-based vessel, departed Port Canaveral on April 8 for an eight-night voyage to the Eastern Caribbean. Before sailing back to its homeport, the Carnival Cruise Line ship is scheduled to stop in Grand Turk, San Juan, St. Kitts, and St. Maarten.

The Celebrity Constellation, which also hails from the Sunshine State, made a port call in Philipsburg on April 7 as part of a ten-night cruise that departed from Tampa. The trip includes stops in Antigua, St. Thomas, San Juan, the Dominican Republic, and the transatlantic journey to Europe.

The Norwegian Epic, based in Puerto Rico, provides a seven-night Eastern Caribbean trip. The cruise left San Juan on April 9, including stops in St. Lucia and other places.

Before setting sail on a transatlantic voyage on April 22, the Norwegian Cruise Line ship will relocate to the Mediterranean and offer a second itinerary there.
