ABHTI successfull weekend of International ruise

From May 26 to 28, the Antigua and Barbuda Hospitality Training Institute (ABHTI) hosted a weekend-long celebration of worldwide cuisine. In order to get their final grade for an Associate’s Degree in culinary arts, the year two culinary arts students offered themed evenings and an upscale dining experience to guests.

The first of the three nights’ worth of food was Tex-Mex, which included well-known meals like tacos, enchiladas, beef barbecue, etc., all served with good sides.

On the second night, they included a special Asian fusion dish, such as chilli garlic chicken and gyoza potstickers, which expertly combined traditional components. Meanwhile, the third and final night was devoted to European cuisine and featured well-known dishes from the region.

Each night of the event, guests were treated to a breathtaking view from ABHTI’s Atlantic View Restaurant, which overlooks the Atlantic Ocean. Guests were given a relaxed environment, theme music, outstanding meals, and first-rate service.

“I had a great weekend and enjoyed the variety of dishes presented,” remarked one customer who bought a combo package. The children performed a terrific job, and I look forward to the upcoming activity.

Students demonstrated their ingenuity and culinary prowess throughout the weekend under the direction of Chefs Smith and Burton. Each night was evidence of their commitment and love for what they did”.

The event was a success with the support of each guest and the Front of House personnel, which included students from several departments.

This occasion serves as a showcase for the excellent calibre of instruction offered by ABHTI, equipping students with the theoretical and practical skills needed for a career in the thriving hospitality sector.
