Italian cruise ship Costa Serena anchored off in Phu Quoc

Carrying more than 3000 passengers, She is the first international ship after the pandemic to arrive at this Vietnamese island located off the coast of Cambodia in the Gulf of Thailand, which is well known for its white-sand beaches and resorts.

The 114,147 tons Concordia-class ship operated under Costa Cruises is being chartered by Thailand agencies and a local event organizer to be based in Laem Chabang from 11 to May 23rd for two revenue roundtrip holiday sailings and a special XXO Party event cruise.

After ending the chartered operation in Thailand, Costa Serena will prepare to set sail and leave for Taiwan.

The ship will make a special appearance in Kaohsiung on May 28th and Keelung on May 29th for the respective sea party meet and greet session jointly hosted by the cruise liner and organizers, an invitation-only for agencies partners, media, influencers and related guests.

Additionally, Adora Cruises unveiled the name of its first Chinese-built cruise ship on May 19th, which is also China Tourism Day.

The 135,500 gross tonnage Vista-class ship will debut from Shanghai as her homeport in late 2023, operating on international routes at the beginning to nearby countries in North Asia, such as Japan. It will be launching more long-distance sea routes in the future.

According to the Chinese cruise line, the first domestic large-scale cruise ship was named “Magic City”, which not only highlights its glorious identity of “Shanghai Design” and “Shanghai Manufacturing” but also emphasizes its grand goal of being based in Shanghai, promoting Shanghai-style culture, and inheriting the city’s character.
