Philipsburg, Sint Maarten: Aries April, a fashion model from New York, USA, shares a glimpse of her visit to Maho Beach, Sint Maarten. Located on the Dutch side of the island, this beach is famous for bordering the famous Princess Juliana International Airport.
She expressed that what makes this beach unique is its location; at the foot of the Princess Juliana International Airport runway, one can watch the landing aircraft passing right above a person.
Aries also posted a video of an aircraft of American Airlines landing at Princess Juliana Airport. She stated that the plane had passed right above her head. “So this is really the highlight of Sint Maarten’s adventure, watching aircraft landing in extremely low altitude”, wrote Aries on her Facebook page.
She further noted that instead of low-altitude plane landings, Maho Beach is a beautiful white sandy beach, with the turquoise blue water lapping at its sands on the Dutch side of the Caribbean island of St. Maarten.
Aries also shared pictures of herself having a good time at Maho Beach. She posted her images sitting on a bench under an umbrella and appreciating the beauty of the beach, enjoying the blue waters.
The Maho Beach is incredibly close to the runaway’s tip. It lies right in the path of the planes. The aircraft’s final approach flies at an altitude of fewer than 100 feet (30 metres) over the ground because of a shortage of space. Due to this, the beach is well-liked by photographers and videographers who want to get a good shot of the planes landing at the airport.
