Saint Lucia: Rostov Chase among top 5 wicket-takers in CPL 2023

Roston Chase, the Barbadian cricketer currently playing for Saint Lucia Kings, has secured his spot among the top five wicket-takers so far in the Caribbean Premier League, Season 2023. He ranked number four with nine wickets, followed by Waqar Salamkheil of Trinbago Knight Riders with nine wickets. 

During the match against Trinbago Knight Riders, Roston Chase draws the first flood, dismissing Newzealand’s Martin Guptill. The Barbadian delivered a full-length delivery to the stumps, which Guptill tried to send out of the park. He does not get the required connection and gets caught over mid-wicket. 

The all-rounder has contributed significantly with both bat and ball for his team so far. Roston delivered a breakthrough every time when his team needed a wicket the most. 

He dismissed Evin Lewis, the Trinidad-born known for his dominating knocks under pressure. During a match against SKN Patriots, Roston sent Lewis to pavilion on his fourth bowl. He himself grabbed a fantastic catch when Lewis played a pull shot.

 24 out of 34 Caribbean Premier League season 2023 matches have been played. Saint Lucia Kings and Trinbago Knight Riders are only two teams with a player sealing spot in top five wicket taker and top five scorers.

Saint Lucia Kings has two matches ahead. On September 15, 2023, the ‘Zouks On Fire’ will take on Guyana Amazon Warriors at their home ground, Providence Stadium. 

On September 17, Saint Lucia Kings is set to face Jamaica Tallawahs on the same ground in Guyana (Providence Stadium).
