Trinbago Knights moved to top of CPL Table with three consecutive victories

San Fernando, Trinidad & Tobago: Trinbafo Knight Riders move to top of the CPL 2023 point table after defeating Saint Lucia Kings by seven wickets with seven balls remaining.

At Brian Lara Cricket Stadium, winning the toss, Trinbago Knight Riders chooses to bowl first. Saint Lucia Kings scored 167 in the first innings by losing three wickets.

The New Zealand’s cricketer Colin Munro scored 72 runs in 51 balls, the top scorer from Saint Lucia Kings’ side. He scored 6 fours and 3 sixes with a strike rate of 141.18. He remained not out till last ball.

Roston Chase, the Barbadian, scored 32 runs in 31 balls, hitting 3 fours and 1 six. Waqar Salamkheil, Afghanistan’s cricketer, dismissed him on last delivery of 13th over. The pressure of dot balls forced Roston to play a big shot.

Due to imperfect timing, the ball gets a top edge. Making no mistake, Jayden Seales, the Trinidadian, grabbed an impressive catch. Sean Williams contributed with important 34 runs in just 17 balls.

In twenty overs, Saint Lucia Kings scored 167 runs in first innings. Trinbago Knight Riders needed 168 runs to win the game.

Trinbago Knight Riders now have four victories in last five games, leading on the CPL point table with 13 points, followed by Guyana Amazon Warriors with 11 points. Saint Lucia Kings dropped to number three with 8 points.
