The 26-year-old named Aschod Ewing-Meeks reached out to the Davie County Sheriff’s Office with his family on April 18 as well as asked to speak with a deputy but did not make it past the reception desk, says the officials.

Moreover, after two hours later, he fatally shot his girlfriend off, 26-year-old Ashton Brown, as well as their children, the 4-year-old, Bella and Brixx, 8-month-old, Sheriff JD Hartman mentioned in the statement in the previous week.

The father of the child then set fire to the house and turned the gun on himself, as per the sheriff.

Hartman mentioned to the couple that they had kids with them when they entered the local sheriff’s office at about 12:11 p.m. and requested to speak to a deputy.

Along with this, Hartman stated of Ewing-Meek and Brown, “They were very vague about what they wanted.”

The receptionist asked for their contact information as well as was allegedly given an address belonging to Brown’s parents. Furthermore, the family walked out after four minutes without seeing an officer, and It was not yet clear why they left.

At About 12:35 p.m., Brown called on 911 apparently from inside a car as well as asked to speak with an officer about the unspecified safety concerns, says the authorities.

Afterwards (10 minutes later), an officer called Brownback as well as briefly talked to her before the call was dropped or was ended, says the sheriff. Brown had informed the officer that she was calling for her boyfriend and handed the mobile phone to Ewing-Meeks, as per the department’s timeline.

Hartman stated, “I have seen a lot in 30 years, but children, and especially children that are killed by gunshots and burned, are pretty heinous.”
