Maryland police recovers dead body of man, surrounded by 125 snakes

In Maryland, a 49-year-old father named David Riston was found dead inside his suburban house. He was surrounded by approximately 125 caged snakes, including the severe venomous snakes, black mambas and 14-foot Burmese cobras.

On Wednesday evening, the incident took place in Pomfret, where Maryland’s father has been traced dead inside his suburban house lined with cages consisting of harmful and illegal snakes as were prohibited from owning as a pet in the USA.

The details related to his death is still not specified yet, and as per the investigation, one of those snakes have bitten Riston to death.

Moreover, on Wednesday at 6 pm, the Charles County Sheriff’s deputies got a call from a man on 911, and the man was identified as Riston’s neighbour, who called the police to the apartment in the Charles County Sheriff’s deputies, 5500 block in the Rafael Drive in Pomfret in the United States. The man said he went to David Riston’s house because he had not seen him a day before. During which, he saw Riston was lying on the floor and wasn’t even responding.

As per the sheriff’s office, there were no clear signs of foul play and Riston was later transported to the Chief Medical Examiner Office in Baltimore for an autopsy.

There were over 125 venomous as well as non-venomous snakes of various types in the apartment. All the snakes were in the tanks and carefully kept on the racks.

A spokesman in the Charles County Animal Control, Jennifer Harris, mentioned the species that were present inside the residence of Riston. There were rattlesnakes, the considerable venomous snakes in Africa named black mambas, as well as the Burmese python, which stood 14-foot-long.

However, David Riston was living all alone and had a legal permit for keeping reptiles and snakes. According to the sources, it is illegal to own a dangerous snake as a pet in Maryland law.
