Snow storms left thousands facing power crisis in US, Canada

In the areas of the US and Canada, an extensive winter storm has brought severe snowfall as winter alerts are already provided to around 80 million individuals.

As per the information provided, there are more than 145,000 people living without power in some specific regions in the south-eastern states. On the other hand, the majority of the flights have been delayed or cancelled due to bad weather.

Some states in the United States have been reported as a state of emergency, including Virginia, North and South Carolina, and Georgia.

The NWS- National Weather Service in the United States mentioned that there have been predicted more than 1ft (30cm) of snow in some areas.
