The cases of COVID-19-new variant, Omicron has spiked to its peak on Tuesday. In the United States, the number of people infected has set a world record by reaching the mark of 1 million, with over 10,00,000 cases reported daily.

Moreover, 50% of the cases increased, the count of the infected people is around 5,90,000, which is much more as compared to the previous COVID variants. However, the U.S. has broken the record of the most affected people. Children were reportedly coming under the most infected and were admitted to hospitals.

As per the information provided, schools’ re-opening is postponed, the virtual study will remain constant till further guidelines. Flights were also cancelled or delayed. In the last 24 hours worldwide, around 4,000 flights were called off due to the continuous spread of COVID-19, and the crew members were also isolated because the virus had also infected them. Meanwhile, there is reportedly a massive shortage of cabin crews in the airlines.

Apart from this, the decision about delaying the face-to-face classes in schools will be helpful for the young ones as they can stay protected at their homes.

The schools in New York, Chicago, and more are in a difficult position as people of that place want their child in the school. Still, by looking at the cases of COVID-19, it is complicated to continue the schools as every second person is infected.

In New York City, the most extensive schools systems have re-opened the schools, and they are going to increase the tests done in the schools. They have also distributed the COVID testing kits among the students.

In the White House, President Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris will call upon the team that deals with the COVID responses. They will provide all the necessary equipment to all the states to help deal with the Omicron variant cases.
