“We are ready to fight and defeat COVID,” says President Biden

President of United States, Joe Biden, on Tuesday said that if the people are fully vaccinated, they are entirely secure from the COVID-19 infection. Omicron is highly transmissible as per the health reports.

As per the reports, the authorities of the United States mentioned they are set to fight against the COVID-19 variant. They are going to provide the necessary equipment to all the individuals and provide encouragement to the people so they can get all three vaccination shots (including booster jabs).

President Biden highlighted that it is very important to use face masks while travelling outside the home, and social distancing is imperative to make the COVID-19 variant spread gradually.

He stated, “After getting affected by the new variant Omicron, people are having varied symptoms due to the infection. The government officials will provide the crucial protection kits to the individuals to help them deal with this severe condition. Testing kits and vaccinations are delivered to the people, but still, there are some people who are not yet fully vaccinated. It is essential to enjoy the benefits of the things that are available.”

The U.S has broken the record of the highest COVID-19 cases globally as there are over 1 million cases of the Omicron variant. Last year the rate of infected people was set down to 591,000. Meanwhile, experts have mentioned that there have been more than 859,245 fresh cases over the previous seven days on Tuesday, and in the entire U.S, there are 550,000 per day infections registered.

The maximum number of hospitals are filled with patients affected by the Omicron variant, and the flights are also getting called off simultaneously because the crew members are infected by the virus, which is a massive problem for the airlines as they have a lack of staff.

Schools have cancelled the thought of starting face-to-face classes, hence, conducting virtual sessions for the students following a rise in cases of the mutant.
