In Florida, two people were stabbed to death in the residential area of Daytona Beach, their throats slashed, and this incident took place in the middle of the night.
As per the statement from Daytona Beach Police Chief Jakari Young, the husband and wife were biking towards home in Daytona Beach, and both of them were stabbed. Their throats were slashed in a terrible manner.
Meanwhile, Young said, “We quickly realized this was nothing but a hit and run. I gotta be honest with you, and this is probably one of the most vicious and gruesome incidents that I have witnessed in my 20 years.”
Along with this, the man was discovered in a grassy area around the sidewalk as well as both were covered in blood, and the face of the man was lying on the face down and the face upwards.
The police have discovered the husband and wife as 48-year-old Terry Aultman and 55-year-old Brenda Aultman of Daytona Beach.
The police officials mentioned the incident happened before 2 a.m.
Both the couple was biking at the 700 block of the North Wild Olive Avenue when the attack happened, as per the statement by the young on Twitter.
Moreover, the young said on Twitter, “Both victims suffered multiple stab wounds as well as lacerations.”
According to the release, the couple was heading towards the Bike Week event that was happening in town.
Young mentioned that the police do not believe that the incident was a robbery because valuables were left at the crime scene.
On the other hand, the motive of the case is still not identified.
” My wife is not leaving the house by herself. I can tell you that right now. And obviously, it was a man and a woman, so it makes you think even the both of us. How safe is our neighbourhood?” Donald Sears said.
