Alabama: 16-year-old was shot, sustains non life threatening injuries

In the City of Alabama, a 16-year-old was shot in Prattville and had been suffering from injuries that are non-threatening to her life, on Wednesday, as per the details shared by Police Chief Mark Thompson.

According to the officials, it has been the third shooting at the same place in the space of around three weeks.

The teenager was shot in his left arm as well as taken to a Montgomery hospital for treatment, says Thompson.

Moreover, the happening took place at around 7:30 p.m. in the 100 block of Jones Street. The Officers received the call from the crime scene related to the incident.

Along with this, the chief mentioned that before they reached the place where the incident took place, the victim had been discovered in the 200 block of Gardner Street.

Thompson shared with the police officials he was at his home on Jones Street when someone shot at him multiple time, and as it has been mentioned that, the shooting does not seems like it was a random act.

In addition, the investigators are working on the case.

On March 9, several rounds were fired from a high-powered rifle into a home on Jones Street. There were around five individuals in the house at the moment, including there are three young ones under the age of 12.

Meanwhile, Thompson asserted the investigation is working to see if Wednesday, the night of the shooting of the teenager, is connected with the shooting that was happened earlier.

However, on March 11, another incident took place that was unrelated to the shooting into the home. The victim of that incident later faced death from the injuries in a Montgomery hospital.

Furthermore, the 18-year-old named Anthony Dwayne Willis was charged with murder in the case. The shooting marked the first shooting in Prattville.
