Alabama: Women went missing last week; body discovered

In Florida, the United States, a body of a missing mother was discovered on Saturday night in a shallow grave in Alabama, says officials.

The officials had made the announcement on Sunday, April 3, that the woman named Cassie Carli was disappeared a week before when she went to pick up her daughter, and now her body has been found.

Moreover, she went to pick up the daughter as she is in the custody exchange with her ex-boyfriend.

The authorities were working on the case of Carli, and they had executed a search warrant a week before in search of the lady. Later on, she was discovered buried inside of a barn in Springville, around 300 miles north of where she was last seen in Navarre Beach, Santa Rosa County Sheriff Bob Johnson, as per the report shared by the officials on Sunday.

Along with this, the ex-boyfriend of Carli named Marcus Spanevelo is currently in custody and has connections with the property, the Sheriff highlighted in the statement.

Meanwhile, Sheriff further mentioned that Spanevelo is facing the charges of interfering with evidence and sharing false information about the investigation.

The maximum number of charges are pending for Spanevelo following the results of an autopsy, and this has been scheduled for Monday, March 4.

In addition, the police mentioned that the 37-year-old named Carli had been recognized by a tattoo on her body.

Johnson said during an interview, “It is not the ending that we wanted, obviously, but we’re hoping to provide a little closure to the family.”

On Sunday, March 3, it has been one week from the time she has been disappeared after she went to pick up the 4-year-old daughter named Saylor from custody in exchange with Spanevelo, who is the father of the child, in Navarre Beach in Pensacola.
