The White House & the State Department have made the announcement that the residents of America will be provided the option of gender ‘X’ on the passport application for the support of Transgenders.
The authorities took this decision in place of the International Day of Transgender. As per the information shared by the sources, this option will be included from the beginning of 11 April; next to the options of ‘male’ and ‘female,’ there will be an additional box.
In the previous year, the administration of the president of the United States mentioned that they were going to make the document ‘More inclusive.’
As per the statement, the State Department will become the “first federal agency” in the United States of America to option on an official identity document.
Moreover, the USA federal government is implementing these actions. At the same time, conservative states have adopted restrictive rules and regulations on the care of transgender minors, the practice of sports as well as on the usage of toilets.
Along with this, in Texas, investigations have been launched against the parents under the controversial directive from the governor, which treats specific ‘Sex change’ procedures for minors as criminally punishable ‘abuse.’
Meanwhile, on Thursday, the White House made a statement which they mentioned, “The (federal) administration once again condemns the proliferation of dangerous legislative attacks on transgender people in several states.”
The statement further included, “There is evidence that such laws stigmatize and endanger the well-being of transgender children and risk creating discrimination and harassment against their families.”
