Brooklyn man, who opened gunfire inside subway charged for conducting violent attacks

In Brooklyn, New York, the shooter named Frank James, who set off two of the smoke bombs and opened the gunfire inside the subway car, has been charged with the conducting a violent attack on a mass vehicle in violation of 18 U.S.C. §§ 1992(a)(7) and (b)(1).

The charge is related to the terror attacks or the other violence against a mass transportation system, which is associated with April 12, 2022, the mass shooting on the New York City police officials in manhattan as well as will make his initial appearance in the coming day before the United States Magistrate Judge Roanne L. Mann.

Moreover, the United States Attorney for the Eastern District of New York named Breon Peace, the Assistant Director-in-Charge, Federal Bureau of Investigation, Michael J. Driscoll, the New York Field Office (F.B.I.), John DeVito, Special Agent-in-Charge, U.S. Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, New York (A.T.F.) and Keechant L. Sewell, Commissioner, New York City Police Department (NYPD), has made the announcement about the arrest as well as the charge.

The United States Attorney Peace mentioned in the statement, “As alleged, the defendant committed a heinous and deliberate attack on ordinary New Yorkers during their morning subway commute. I’m grateful to our law enforcement partners, the first responders and the everyday New Yorkers who stepped up during this crisis and showed the best of our city. And, we constantly pray for the victims & their loved ones as they recover from this traumatic event, both physically and emotionally.”

Furthermore, the F.B.I. Assistant Director-in-Charge Driscoll, ‘Yesterday, as everyday New Yorkers commuted through Brooklyn on our subway system, Frank James , as alleged has committed a horrific deed that resulted in an around-the-clock effort by the F.B.I.’s Joint Terrorism Task Force in New York, the NYPD, and the A.T.F. to find him as well as bring him to justice. Thanks to the incredible work by all involved to identify James & get the correct details out to the public, he is in federal custody, and New Yorkers can breathe a little easier in our city today.’

On the other hand, the police officials has stated that the motive of this wrong doing is still not clear.
