United States: A man in Georgia has been apprehended after mentioning the incident where he stuffed his grandmother in a freezer and left her to die, as per the authorities.
Floyd County Police Department mentioned in the statement at the time of the sharing of information, the 29-year-old named Robert Keith Tincher III of Rome, Ga., has been charged with the murder of his grandmother, aggravated battery, and concealing the death of another in connection to the death of 82-year-old Doris Cumming.
The man was accused of placing his grandmother in the plastic bags as well as dragging her to a large freezer inside a residence in December 2021 after she was injured from a fall at the residence.
Along with this, in the report, it has been highlighted that the investigators believed Cumming had shown signs of being left to die. The investigator of Floyd County named Brittany Werner stated that in the incident that took place, Tincher “described her movement and breathing when the freezer was locked.”
Werner said, “From what we determined, at the time, he believed she was still breathing and had some movement at the time she was going into the freezer.”
Tincher shared the information to the police officials that Cumming’s back broke as he shoved her into the freezer, describing her movements inside the locked freezer to investigators “in graphic detail,” according to the sources.
Meanwhile, the freezer remained at the residence until about March 2022, when it was “transported to another location within Floyd County,” per the FCPD.
Furthermore, Tincher was arrested at the house on Hennon Drive as well as later booked into the Floyd County Jail. Additionally, to the charges stemming from the month of December 2021, the death of his grandmother, Tincher has also been charged with a felony for failing to appear in court in 2018.
