In Texas, USA, a woman was shot to death while she was driving on the Gulf freeway. She has been identified as Patrina Compton of 42-year-old from Galveston, according to the police officials.
As per the data shared by her sister, she was a NICU nurse at UTMB.
Moreover, at about 3 a.m., Patrina was shot on Sunday, April 10, in the southbound lanes of I-45 near Mac McGaffey Highland Bayou Park, says the La Marque Police Department. They mentioned that she had been shot various times, as well as her car was full of bullet holes.
The sister of the victim said the police officials told the US Patrina was driving home from her mother’s apartment at the beginning of the Sunday after dropping off the food for a barbecue she could not attend.
Along with this, Stacy Compton, the sister of the victim, stated, “I asked her to let me know when she made it home, and I never heard from her. I lay down for a while, and I get a knock at the door. They’re telling me she didn’t make it.”
Stacy said that she is still in disbelief that her sister is gone.
“I was just stunned because I got the news first. I was her emergency contact.”
The police officials do not believe that the shooting was a random incident, as well as Patrina, may have been targeted.
During the conversation with the police, Stacy had a thought that her sister had enemies.
“The way it happened, it seems like it was intentional — not because it was her — but maybe because of some other things that were going on. But nobody wanted to harm her personally, so it wasn’t anything that she had to do with.”
Stacy further mentioned that Patrina was a good human being who smiled all the time and was loved by the majority of the individuals.
“A beautiful person just cared for everyone,” Stacy expressed, “Just remember her the way that you know her. That is the only thing I can say because, as I say, she was never a bad person in no type of way.”
Patrina had a son as well as was about to be a grandmother.
Furthermore, the investigators have no description related to the possible suspects or their vehicle. They are hoping that someone has observed the shooter, which will help them discover the shooter.
