In the city of Texas, a man has been taken into custody following an incident the crash that took place in Austin that police officials reported involved a young one.

The Austin police department mentioned that the 41-year-old named Xavier Zarate had been charged with the injuries that had been caused to the children.

Moreover, the neighbors shared the information that the incident took place nearby the entrance to the Olympic Heights neighborhood, along with the Marcus Abrams Boulevard.

The police mentioned that the officers had responded to a call of a deadly collision near the 11300 block of Menchaca Road at about 5:40 p.m. on Sunday.

As per the arrest warrant, an observer highlighted when the police officials were asking the question that Zarate was heading towards the street to confront the young boys who had “supposedly” thrown excrement at his front door.

Along with this, the witness stated in the affidavit that Zarate drove up behind the boys who were riding the bicycles. He left his car, and suddenly he started punching those individuals.

Jody Carpenter asserted that he is friends with the victim as well as was there when the crash took place.

Carpenter mentioned in the statement, “He chased us in his car down to here, opened the door in front of [him] so he couldn’t ride off on his bike, then punched him in the face. I hit [Zarate] on the back of the head. He pushed [him] down, and then the car ran over his head.”

Furthermore, Carpenter said that the victim was in eighth grade at Bailey Middle School. The principal of Bailey has sent a letter home to parents this week addressing the “sudden” death of a student.
