US launches Declaration for the Future of the Internet

The Secretary Antony Blinken of the United States shared the information that, alongside over 50 partners, America has launched the Declaration for the Future of the Internet, a commitment to promote an open, global Internet for the benefit of people everywhere. 

As per the reports, the Democratic governments, as well as other partners, are increasing to the challenge. Currently, the United States of America, with over 60 partners from all over the globe, has launched the Declaration for the Future of the Internet. 

On the official account of Twitter, Anthony Blinken mentioned, “Today, alongside more than 50 partners, the United States launched the Declaration for the Future of the Internet, a commitment to promote an open, global Internet for the benefit of people everywhere. #FutureOfTheInternet”

Moreover, the Declaration represents a political commitment as well as the Declaration partners in advancing a positive vision for digital technologies and the Internet. It reclaims the word of the Internet in the face of global opportunities as well as the challenges presented by the 21st century. 

The principles of the Declaration include the commitments to: 

• Protect human rights as well as fundamental freedoms of all people;
• Promote a global Internet that advances the free flow of information;
• Advance inclusive as well as affordable connectivity so that all people can benefit from the digital economy;
• Promote trust in the global digital ecosystem, including through the protection of privacy; and
• Protect and strengthen the multistakeholder approach to governance that keeps the Internet running for the benefit of all.

Along with this, in the last, the United States has worked with the partners from the entire world, including the civil society, industry, academia as well as other stakeholders, to reaffirm the vision of an open, accessible, global, interoperable, reliable as well as the secure Internet and reverse negative trends in this regard.
