In addition, the first death was the son of Davidson, Kyler Jackson, who was killed after an accidental shooting involving a 9-year-old relative in South Bend on May 1, three days after the shooting Kyler died.

Lee served as lead pastor at the funeral of Jackson on May 12, as well as helped Davidson grieve the loss of her son.
