About 21 individuals were shot, 4 fatally in Chicago weekend shooting

United States: About 21 individuals were shot over the weekend in Chicago, with four of them fatally, according to police.

According to Chicago police, in a shooting early Sunday morning on the South Side’s Grand Boulevard, a man was murdered, and a woman was gravely injured. Officers discovered the man and woman on the ground in the 4200 block of South State Street shortly before 4:00 a.m.

The male, 23, was shot in the chest and sent to the University of Chicago Medical Center, where he was declared dead, according to police.

According to authorities, the lady, 32, was struck in the lower back and was transferred to the same hospital in critical condition. The two gave no further details about the event. No one was being held in custody.

On Saturday, a man was murdered, and four people were injured in a drive-by shooting on Chicago’s South Side on Saturday, according to the Chicago Police Department.

Around 3:20 p.m., the victims were standing in an alley in the 8600-block of South Damen Avenue in the Auburn Gresham neighborhood when an unknown car came by, and someone inside started firing at them, according to police.

A 23-year-old guy was shot numerous times in the body and sent to Christ Hospital, where he was subsequently pronounced dead, according to police. Tishawn Holliday was recognised by the Cook County Medical Examiner’s Office.

The remaining four victims are anticipated to be unharmed, according to authorities. A 39-year-old male was shot in the left leg, a 24-year-old man was shot in the left leg and foot, and a 42-year-old man was shot many times throughout his body.

According to authorities, all three were taken to Christ Hospital in various states. According to CPD, a fifth individual was taken to Little Company of Mary Hospital.
