US: Kidnappers abducts 13-year-old girl in Reading discovered safe in Brooklyn

United States: A 13-year-old girl was abducted from a home in Reading early on Wednesday morning and was discovered safe in Brooklyn. The police officials mentioned that the teen girl would soon be reunited with her family.

The police officials stated that the man inside her home abducted the girl at 2 a.m. on the 500 block of South Court in the Glenside Homes.

The man was apprehended in Brooklyn. The police identified him as Duane Taylor.

Along with this, Reading Police Chief Richard Tornielli asserted that the investigators believe the man has a connection to the girl.

Along with this, Tornielli stated, “We don’t believe that this was a random kidnapping. We believe this individual was kidnapped by someone that she may have known or had known her. The neighbourhood is safe, and there is no danger to the public.”

The abduction of the teenage girl led to an Amber Alert being issued just before 3 p.m. on Wednesday.

In addition, she was previously seen on Schuylkill Avenue as well as was placed in a silver Chevy Traverse with Pennsylvania Plates.

The state police cancelled the Amber Alert at 6:48 p.m. on Wednesday after the girl was found in New York City.

The NYPD, as well as the FBI, assisted in arresting the suspect.

Reading Mayor Eddie Moran stated, “Let this be a lesson for anybody who’s trying to harm one of the little ones that we will do anything possible to make sure that they get apprehended immediately, and we have zero tolerance for that.

Furthermore, Taylor is currently in New York as well as facing state charges.
