United States: A man from Florida and his 15-year-old son were detained on attempted murder charges as well as accused of shooting at an innocent woman after they received a mixed-up package at their door and suspected a thief was breaking in, as per the officials.
The 73-year-old, Gino Colonacosta and his son opened fire on Sunday morning after they got a Ring doorbell notification about someone at the front door of their Winter Haven apartment at about 7 a.m., as per Polk County Sheriff Grady Judd.
Judd mentioned in the statement that the person was a neighbour who received a medicine delivery for the Coloncostas at his home. As well as being “a good Samaritan” he took medicine as well as hung it on the Coloncostas’ front door.
Along with this, after they got an alert from their Ring doorbell camera, the father, as well as his son, left their home armed with .45 caliber firearms searching for a person they suspected to be a burglar, according to the sheriff’s office.
