Woman wearing metal dog collar held captive, raped, assaulted for weeks in Missouri home

United States: A woman was held captive, raped as well as assaulted for weeks in a Missouri home until she escaped in the previous week, wearing a metal collar, as well as sought help from neighbours, as per the police officials in court documents.

A suspect, 39-year-old Timothy Haslett Jr., was apprehended on Friday as well as was charged with first-degree rape, aggravated sexual offence, first-degree kidnapping as well as second-degree assault, according to a complaint filed in Clay County Circuit Court.

The police officials discovered the woman on Friday wearing a metal collar with a padlock as well as latex lingerie, with duct tape around her mouth, Excelsior Springs police officials mentioned in the statement in probable cause statement filed Friday.

The lady informed police that Haslett picked her up at the start of September and held her there while handcuffing her wrists and ankles, according to the police report. Police said the lady had bruises on her back and claimed that Haslett regularly sexually assaulted as well as beat her while she was being held captive.

According to authorities, the lady said she was able to flee after Haslett dropped off his kid at school.

After the lady fled last week, neighbours Lisa Johnson and Ciara Tharp told the information to the sources in Kansas City that she began pounding on doors and begging for assistance.

According to the Clay County Sheriff’s Office, the lady reported the claims to law enforcement on Friday at 7:47 a.m. According to the sheriff’s office, Haslett was taken into custody on Friday near Excelsior Springs, 28 miles northeast of Kansas City.

According to an interview with Johnson, the station said that Johnson observed the woman slumped down and appeared to crawl up her front steps pleading for assistance minutes earlier. According to the station, Johnson observed the dog collar, which seemed to be a handmade shock collar, and ligature marks on her wrists and ankles.

The station reported that the lady fled as Johnson reached for the phone to dial 911, claiming the man holding her hostage would kill them both.
