Texas: American Airlines collaborated with Tarrant Area Food Bank and Cotton Bowl Classic on the occasion of Thanksgiving on Thursday, November 24, 2022, to serve food to more than 5000 families in North Texas.
Thanksgiving is a national holiday observed on various dates in the United States, Grenada, Canada, Liberia and Saint Lucia. The United States celebrates it on the fourth Thursday of November.
The update was shared by American Airlines on its official Facebook handle.
It stated, “Thanksgiving is a time to celebrate full tables and filled plates, but we realize that isn’t a reality for many individuals, which is why we have partnered with the Tarrant Area Food Bank and Cotton Bowl Classic for the past three years to bring Thanksgiving Day meals and other groceries to North Texas families.”

“This year, more than 200 #AATeam members gathered at AT&T Stadium to #LetGoodTakeFlight and served more than 5,000 families in the community,” added the airline.
It further said that it would continue to proudly support non-profit organizations which make a difference in the communities where its team members and customers live and work.
“We wish everyone a #HappyThanksgiving and encourage you to help make an impact this holiday season,” wished the airline on the occasion of Thanksgiving.
American Airlines also shared glimpses of this year’s Thanksgiving Day meals.
Tarrant Area Food Bank is a non-profit organization and central clearinghouse for donated food and groceries. It receives fresh, frozen and nonperishable food donated by the food industry and the community.
The NPO has dedicated volunteers TO help sort, inspect and repackage the food, which is then distributed to its network of 270 Partner Agencies serving hungry children, families and seniors in North Texas. The people who generously donate their time, funds and skills to TAFB help make the services they provide to the community possible.
