American Battle Monuments Commission hosts Heritage Day

United States: American Battle Monuments Commission hosted Native American Heritage Day, in which they invited everyone who served in the Armed Forces as well as gave their life defending the nation’s ideals.

They took to their official social media account and noted, “Today, as we observe Native American Heritage Day, we invite you to honour those who served in our Armed Forces and gave their life defending our nation’s ideals.”

They have also highlighted their sacrifice towards the nation and how they have contributed their time, life, etc., as being a part of the Armed Forces of America. Their uniform represents themselves, and it is they who gave their life defending the ideals of the country.

With the 4th Infantry Division, 12th Infantry Regiment, Vidana was part of the assault on Utah Beach in Normandy, France, on June 6, 1944. He and the division then moved toward Belgium and where he fell while fighting in the Schnee-Eifel area, Germany, just after having penetrated through the West Wall. He is buried at Henri-Chapelle American Cemetery, Belgium, alongside 7,986 other WWII fallen.

Today we remembered Ernest A. Jones, who was part of World War II and the date of death on November 25, 1945, and he was the Machinist’s Mate in First Class U.S. Navy.

Moreover, Ernest A. Jones entered the service from Utah, but his status was missing in action. He was awarded with Purple Heart American Battle Monuments Commission.

The walls of the missing Manila American Cemetery, Philippines, memorialize him.
