United States Senator for the State of Oklahoma James Lankford shares the update on thanksgiving and the ways to serve friends and neighbours as the holiday season has been started.
He took to his official social media and stated that there is no good way to get into the positive feeling of a holiday than giving back with thanksgiving.
“There is no other good way to get into the positive feeling of holiday spirit than giving back. While it is easy to dwell on what separates us, here are some ways to serve friends and neighbours as we enter the holiday season.”

Donation is an essential part as it makes a difference as well as provides aid to the needy. And thanksgiving is a great part of donating such nonperishable items to the nearby food banks.
Serve By Shopping
Big grocery trips can be difficult for the elderly as well as the disabled – especially over the holidays. Ask your neighbours if a person can serve them by buying something extra at the store.
Give Your Time
To the Community, such as serving the thanksgiving meal or buying gifts for those in need. Get your kids involved to set an example.
Check With Your Church
Ask your church community if they have ongoing projects to support those in need during the holidays.
